Our latest party was a Wheels on the bus party. It was for a 2 year old. This toddler is totally infatuated with the song "The Wheels on the Bus" so it seemed natural to do a party for her with that theme. We had so much fun with this theme. It is an unusual theme, so everything was hand made. The cricut got a serious workout with this party!
The main table. The red, yellow, and green candies resembled a stop light. The "road" was roof tiles that I got from a hardware store and just cut up.
This was her invitation. I used the Doodlecharms cartridge from cricut. The invitation is shown here on our roof tile road.
This was on the front door and greeted the guests as they arrived.
Napkins and napkin rings. Buses of course!!
We used verses from the song to label items on the tables. The first bucket had bus candy suckers that I made, those were the goodie bags. The other bucket is chocolate coins.
Naturally, the water bottles were "the wipers on the bus go swish swish swish".
Both of these resembled stop lights. The fruit kabobs and peppers.
The bus cake. Also made were wheel cupcakes. The bus was mainly fondant with some gumpaste accents. We made banners using the cricut and some cricut software for the computer.
I made a giant bus for the kids to play in. I used large appliance boxes and yellow wrapping paper.
She loved her bus party!!
